CAS-EVAC

Who is CAS-EVAC?

CAS-EVAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to rapidly connecting veterans in crisis with essential resources through a network of organizations across the U.S. for mental health, life challenges, and other critical needs. Our mission is to streamline access to services, walk alongside veterans through difficult times, and fill gaps in care to prevent service members from feeling alone.

CAS-EVAC prescreens organizations to verify: who is eligible, how long it takes to begin assistance, and how long assistance is provided. We create a continuum of care for our veterans by aligning them with the right organizations at the right time, while giving them the confidence that CAS-EVAC has their back.

What is CAS-EVAC?

In combat, CAS-EVAC stands for “Casualty Evacuation.” The U.S. Army describes CAS-EVAC as “the movement of casualties aboard non-medical vehicles or aircraft without en route medical care.” Off the battlefield and in normal life, CAS-EVAC walks with veterans and their families through the challenges they face until they have received the resources and assistance they need. Veterans, who in the past were left to fight their battles alone, have CAS-EVAC to assist “Every Veteran, Every Time.” CAS-EVAC provides highly effective assistance to veterans through rapid response, coordination with government and local organizations, and following through with the veteran until their need is met.

Our History

CAS-EVAC was founded in 2023 based on actual experiences being lost in veteran services and finally finding the help that was needed. It quickly became clear that this was not an isolated experience—many veterans are hurting and feel alone. CAS-EVAC is a source of connection for our veterans, beyond the dehumanizing bureaucracy and linking the many caring organizations that offer specialized services. Since 2023, we have helped veterans in critical situations from North Carolina to California. If you know anyone struggling to get enrolled in mental health, housing, or other critical resources, please have them reach out to us.
